Welcome to the website for Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Chicago! Gloria Dei is a congregation of the one, holy, Christian, and apostolic Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ. We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and are part of that Synod’s Northern Illinois District. Gloria Dei is located at the corner of 53rd and South Major Avenues in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago, not far from Midway Airport.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church exists to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and to administer His Holy Sacraments. Accordingly, Gloria Dei utilizes a historic sacramental and liturgical worship pattern as preserved in the practice of the Lutheran Church. We welcome you to visit us anytime.
